A quick little video tour of the home data center. I’ve moved about 30 miles from where I was and moving all of this was no easy task. Just glad to be up out of the basement. I’ve scaled down everything being used quite a bit as you can tell from none of the 1u Dells being powered on. I now use my DL380 G3 as my primary server, DHCP, DNS, RRAS, AD, File, virtual SAN server, storage, backup for remote clients, pretty much everything. The DL380 G2 is my first ESX 3.5 host, currently running four 6 VM’s, the Dell PowerApp 220 being my second ESX 3.5 Host running 3 VM’s, and a soon to be added HP DL360 G3 with 2x Dual core Xeon’s and I will be giving it 8 GB Ram. Once the DL360 comes in it will be deployed as a new ESX host and all of my current VM’s will be transferred to that host. meanwhile retiring my other two ESX host’s. I plan to sell one of them, the Dell PowerApp 220, and keep the DL380 G2 as a spare ESX host should the other go down for any reason. Give me your Comments and Rate the Video!

Thousands of Hasidic Jews from around the world are gathering in the Ukrainian city of Uman for a yearly pilgrimage marked by singing, dancing and prayer. The pilgrims crowding the city’s streets are mostly men in black hats or kippas coming to pray at the tomb of Rabbi Nahman — a revered leader of their traditionalist movement. On the pilgrimage days for a week around the Jewish New Year, this sleepy, dusty town of 90000 inhabitants some 200 kilometres (124 miles) south of Kiev is transformed into a multilingual hub of the Hasidic movement. The celebrations are a way for Hasidic Jews to get back to the roots of their movement in the heart of eastern Europe more than 60 years after the Holocaust. The stream of pilgrims makes its way down Pushkin street to a large metal structure covering the tomb of Rabbi Nahman of Bratslav and two synagogues filled with believers who pray here for hours on end. Rabbi Nahman, also known as a tzadik or spiritual master, died in Uman in 1810, having urged his followers to gather by his tomb to celebrate Rosh Hashana, or Jewish New Year. This year up to 25000 Hasidic Jews, most of them from Israel and the United States, are expected to heed his call and attend the celebrations. The Hasidic tradition, founded in the 18th century in Belarus and Ukraine, places special emphasis on joyous communion with God. The singing and dancing give Uman a festive air. With Hasidic music pouring out of CD-players and laptop computers, pilgrims dance in …

Meet the ultimate mobile studio: the new 17-inch MacBook Pro. It features a breakthrough built-in battery that delivers up to 8 hours of wireless productivity on a single charge1 and can be recharged up to 1000 times—more than three times the lifespan of typical notebook batteries.2 The high-resolution LED-backlit widescreen display has a color gamut thats 60 percent greater than that of previous generations. Two high-performance NVIDIA graphics processors let you choose between integrated and discrete graphics: Enjoy up to 8 hours of battery life with the GeForce 9400M, or take full advantage of 3D games and graphics-intensive applications like Aperture and Motion with the 9600M GT. The latest Intel Core 2 Duo processor at speeds up to 2.93GHz makes the new MacBook Pro the most powerful Mac notebook ever. And the all-new, glass Multi-Touch trackpad is clickable everywhere, so you have more control and more room for new gestures. All in a precision aluminum unibody enclosure thats less than an inch thin. (1)Testing conducted by Apple in December 2008 using preproduction 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duobased MacBook Pro (17-inch) units with a Better Battery Life setting. Battery life depends on configuration and use. See www.apple.com/batteries for more information. The wireless productivity test measures battery life by wirelessly browsing various websites and editing text in a word processing document with display brightness set to 50%.(2) Apple does not warrant the battery …

This video shows how to convert a fat32 partition into NTFS file system. A limitation of the Fat32 file system is that it will not store files larger than 4 GB (Gigabytes). You need to use NTFS for that partition. However, if you simply re-format the partition, you lose all the data. If you convert it, you wouldn’t have to move all your data off and then back onto your newly formatted partition. I do this using command line on Windows Vista, but the process works on Microsoft Windows Server 2000, 2003, 2008. It also works on Windows 2000, xp, Vista and 7. Providing training videos since last Tuesday. technoblogical.com Thanks for watching.

The video for These Are Powers song Easy Answers was jointly inspired by the annual Ghost Festival held every August in China and the Chinese folkloric tradition of burning joss paper after the death of a relative or loved one. Joss paper has long been burned ceremoniously as an offering to the dead, representing all of the worldly goods that spirits may desire in the afterlife, including intricately detailed miniature paper replicas of mansions, BMW convertibles, laptop computers, karaoke VCRs, and large denomination hell bank notes or ghost money. Once burned, these items are believed to join the deceased loved ones in heaven, and for lost spirits who still roam the land of the living, small paper boats and lanterns are bought and released, which signifies giving direction to these restless ancestors.
