if you are cleaning your laptop fan with compressed air, make sure to clean the area where you put the laptop so that no dust can come in for a while.

the fan of my laptop should blow air in or out? Because when it gets to annoying, the pc doesn’t get cooler no matter how fast its spinning and it blows air out from it

Nice video..I’ve used the compressed air many times. And if you do it with the power OFF there’s no major danger of any condensing liquid damage and you can give it a “full blow” to clean out any dust. Any liquid should vaporise in a few seconds. Very handy :-) One MAJOR thing you forget is speedstep manual control. I use SpeedswitchXP to control the fan speed on my old acer when I want it to be quiet.. its simply impossible to live without for me. Not sure it works with all CPUs though.

  22. JackLivesTogether says:

No. They told me it was normal. Then I took it in again, and someone else told me the fan was breaking. I still have the warranty.

  23. MrArghh says:

was it like that when u bouth it?

  24. JackLivesTogether says:

Hi Dave. i have a problem. Mine goes loud (Lawnmower loud) when I first turn it on at all, can it heat up that fast or is there another problem with the fan?

Hi Dave, I bought a new Sony VGN-CS215J laptop and it is giving a whirring sound from the fan. Not more than 2 months old. Sony is useless as they say it is a known issue. What can I do? I tried the air can into the vents. still nothing, They told me to reset the bios to default values…LOL, that didnt do anything either..please help dude. THanks
